Artisans' Guild Gallery

I am a seventh generation Floridian and I am greatly influenced by natural beauty of this area. I live with my husband on 10 acres of forest next to a beautiful lake near Hawthorne, Florida. My love of nature and plants led me to pursue studies in biology at Florida State University (FSU). After I finished a PhD in Plant Pathology at the University of Florida (UF), I worked in scientific research and teaching. I have had a lifelong interest in art and have taken classes since I was a small child. At FSU I took courses in drawing and painting, and at UF I studied ceramics and biological illustration. I enjoy experimenting with many different artistic media. I have taught classes and presented demonstrations in arts for adults and children.
