Bob Gould has lived in Gainesville since 1965. After graduating from the University of Florida, he was a carpenter and a building contractor. He later attended Santa Fe and Lake City Community Colleges. For the last ten years he has worked at Shands at AGH as a Physical Therapist Assistant. In 1994, Bob apprenticed with Artisans' Guild member Peter Senesac to learn the basics of working silver. Since that time he has developed a philosophy and technique of his own.

Current work emphasizes the nature of silver and the processes used to form it. Each piece is made directly in the metal, usually with a hammer. Bob also works with copper, bronze and semi precious stones.
