Artist Biography

Sharon grew up in Key West, Florida and has lived in Gainesville for over 20 years.  She has been making crafts all her life including quilting, sewing, woodworking, and more.  Eventually realizing that glass is her favorite medium, she spends her time creating eclectic projects of stained glass using the Tiffany method of copper foil and solder to join glass pieces.  “I never know what will inspire my next project.  From start to finish every single piece of glass in a given project goes through a minimum of eighteen steps towards the final end product.  All the work is worth it when I hold up the final project to the light of day and enjoy the beauty of the colored and textured glass.  My hope is that each person who owns my art will enjoy the beauty, functionality and fun of each piece!”
