Christa Kallenbach grew up in Miltenburg, Germany where she learned to be a seamstress. In 1963 she moved to Gainesville with her family. She is a long time member of the Gainesville Artisans' Guild, joining in 1971. Using her extensive sewing talents, Christa creates animal designs and patterns which amuse and intrigue customers of all ages. She displays her work at art and craft shows around Florida and Georgia, as well as in galleries and gift shops. Christa has also studied stained glass, batik, quilting, and jewelry construction. Presently, fiber is her favorite medium.
