Sky Campbell is co-owner of Somewhere Glassworks. He has been blowing glass for over twenty years. Sky is a natural born engineer, building and creating industrial glass equipment. “The style in which I blow glass is essentially the same as it has been for thousands of years,” Sky says. “I have the advantage of modern equipment, but the glass is blown and shaped with tools that are age old. You can find pictures of ancient Egyptians blowing glass, and my process is almost identical.” Glassblowing is a high energy art form, which suits Sky well. He is also an accomplished metal artist, often combining hand forged aluminum and copper elements with hand blown glass.
