My journey as an artist has been diverse and multifaceted.
I express from my heart, a love of the colorfully exquisite bounty found in the inner and outer nature of my life.
As a teen and young adult I studied fine art and began painting with a visionary flair, in watercolor, acrylic and oils. An inner expression of visions emerged with spirit beings, apparitions and angelic figures that often appear in colorful mystical landscapes.
Eventually my creative juices morphed into an interest in beads, gems and metals and my career as a jeweler was born. First designing and selling at festivals. Next, owning a local bead shop, Gifts of Avalon, for over 20 years, teaching and sharing my ideas and creations with others.
I still play with my gems, wrapping them in fine wire or precious metals. I also sculpt whimsical trees embellished with glass beads, do custom jewelry design and paint in my home studio and am an active member of the Artisans Guild Gallery of Gainesville.
Gratefully these days I am following my muse and painting again, a return to my roots, my first love, my inner vision.
